Nice to meet you!
At Unity we're always excited to welcome new people.
We hope the information on this page will help to orient you to our church and worship. Please go >HERE< to see who we are and what we believe about our great and sovereign God!
We are located @ 541 College Street, Lewiston Me.
If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, please feel free to use one of the spots closest to the door. We like to keep them free for visitors and people who need assistance. For those who require ADA assistance we have a ramp to the side of the building and an elevator at the rear of our building help you enter.
What you can expect on Sunday Mornings
Relax, don't worry about what you'll wear to church,
for we truly believe people should come to God as they are... no pretense, please. You don't need to dress up to gain God's approval--that can only come through Jesus' sacrifice on your behalf. So, once you walk in the red doors (a reminder that we only gain entrance into the Church by the blood of Christ), you'll see that the Unity has all types of people in all kinds of dress.
When you walk in,
you will find one of our greeters to assist you. They'll help you find the nursery and Sunday school rooms if you have kids. Our greeters can also point you to the restrooms, sanctuary and fellowship area. If you have any questions about the service itself, the greeters are able to provide helpful answers.
If this is your first time in worship,
you'll hear us express our faith and gratitude in Jesus Christ in the songs we sing, the prayers we offer up and in the preaching of God's word. All parts of our service are grounded in the Scriptures, to which we are committed to upholding and proclaiming. You will find:
our atmosphere is relaxed (come as you are)
our music is blended and upwardly focused (praise band)
our teaching is Christ-centered (expository)
and our childcare is from birth-5th grade (to help you focus)
A typical worship service at Unity is about an hour and a half long.
After the service,
join us for a cup of coffee and give us a chance to get to know each other. Say hello to our pastor and anyone else you see. We'd all love to hear your story and share ours with you.
