And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;

Ephesians 4:11-12

Hello! Let me introduce myself… I’m Bill and this is my wife Bambi (yes, that is her real name ). We both were born and raised here in Maine. We met and married at South Paris Baptist Church and moved away 30 years ago. (Wow. Time goes fast!) We have spent the last three decades following Jesus Christ together, raising two children, and learning how to love and lead God’s people. Our odyssey has led us home and to a beautiful group of God’s people here in L/A at Unity Bible Church (UBC).

I love this place! What attracted us to UBC was the unique people and ministry that makes up the church. It is a wonderful mosaic of peoples and cultures. Folks from Algeria, Democratic Republic of the Congo, from many different places around the US and yup, good old life-long Mainers too. What brings and keeps such an eclectic group of people together… Jesus Christ! He is the Lord and Leader of our lives, the highest common denominator we all share. It’s beautiful to see the mix of faces and voices and languages as we exult the name of Jesus together. A true biblical unity!

And not only is the worship wonderful but the ministry to the “least of these” through the men’s ministry – Sheltered by Jesus L/A– is amazing too. Unity is just a beautiful group of broken and sinful people who through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ have found life eternal together. It doesn’t get any better than this in this life and I’m humbled and grateful to be called “Pastor”
