What a beautiful love story! The book ends with a series of “blessings”. Boaz is blessed, Naomi is blessed, Bethlehem is blessed… all because of Ruth’s dependence on God and obedience to His word. In fact, Ruth has blessed us too because our Savior, Jesus Christ, came through her family line (Matthew 1:7). So Ruth has blessed the world!
The “Moral to the Story…” is that her story can be our story. A story of God’s redemption and grace and untold blessing as we follow Christ in loving obedience.
